CNN —“Frasier” star Kelsey Grammer had an interview with the BBC cut short by Paramount+ representatives this week after the conversation turned to his support for former US President Donald Trump, according to a radio host. Real-life Trump supporter Barr played fictional Trump-supporter Roseanne Conner in the successful reboot of the sitcom “Roseanne” in 2018. Turning to politics, Webb asked Grammer if he was still a supporter of the former US president. “I have to say, actually, Kelsey Grammer himself was perfectly happy to go on talking about it,” Webb said. Grammer appeared on the BBC show to discuss the reboot of hit ’90s sitcom “Frasier” which was released by Paramount+ in October.

As far as trees go, farms are promising there will be an adequate supply of trees this year. It typically takes eight to 10 years to grow a Christmas tree, depending on the variety and location, according to the National Christmas Tree Association, a trade group representing growers. “I haven’t heard of any community in America where people haven’t been able to get a Christmas tree and I don’t expect that will be the case this year,” said Tim O’Connor, executive director of the National Christmas Tree Association. The Real Christmas Tree Board, an industry trade group, in September surveyed 49 wholesale growers of Christmas trees who collectively account for two-thirds of the nation’s tree supply about their outlook for the holiday season. “The starting wholesale price is gonna be much more controlled this year than what we had to experience last year.

O'Connor and her husband John pause on Aug. 28, 1987 as they navigate a steep stretch of China's famed Great Wall at Badaling, near Beijing during a private visit to China. O'Conner met John in law school at Stanford University. They married in 1952 and had three children. At age 75, O'Connor abruptly announced her intention to step down from the Supreme Court to attend to John, who was suffering from Alzheimer's disease. He died, at age 79, in 2009.

CNN —Former Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, who blazed trails as the first woman to sit on the Supreme Court, has died, the court announced Friday morning. O’Connor inspired generations of female lawyers – including the five women who served after her nomination on the high court. O’Connor stepped down from the court in 2006 to care for her husband who was ailing from Alzheimer’s disease. Key vote on abortion, affirmative action, Bush v. GoreDuring her tenure, the court for a time was known informally as the “O’Connor Court” because she served as the deciding vote in so many controversial cases. O’Connor was well aware of the symbolism of her place in history as the first female justice.
